The sour...

  • I HATE having my photo taken - I am MUCH more comfortable behind the camera, thanking you very much!

  • Ever since having kids, I cry at EVERYTHING! Maybe I’d make a good actress…

  • I drop vague film references into conversation that very few people ever get.

  • My sense of humour can be a little dark and dry… This could mean that we get along very well…

  • I’m a bit of a metal-head - give me a mosh pit over a dancefloor any day - actually, give me both!

  • I don’t even want to think about what my life would be like without dry shampoo…

I thought I’d give you something a little more interesting than your average photographer’s bio, so I’ve racked my brain to think of a few semi-interesting attributes. I’ve even separated them into what I would consider my positives and not-so-positives for your reading pleasure. Enjoy!

The sweet...

  • I am most proud of being a mum to my two little boys - Elijah and Axel - the absolute loves of my life. Even if they do drive me up the wall sometimes!

  • I am passionate about what I do - and I have yet to get through a whole wedding without tearing up just a little…

  • I find working with other people’s children relatively easy (my background in teaching helps there!) - my own boys are a whole other story altogether…

  • I sing in a 10-piece funk and soul band in my spare time

  • I know all the words to The Rocky Horror Picture Show - I can do a mean Frank N. Furter (if I do say so myself) (and yes, this is in my good list…)

  • I get day-long bursts of energy/adrenaline when shooting. Being a wedding photographer and bouncing all over the place, this is the secret sauce (although I am prone to a photographer’s hangover in the morning where my thighs feel the BURN from all the acrobatics!) Totally worth it though. Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Getting the shot...

Yes, a groom and I laughed about the possibility of capturing some of his 'must-have' shots from the lake... And then it happened... (and I'd do it again - what a little adventure!)

The method to the madness...

I am passionate about delivering the absolute best experience and high quality photographic images. My style is contemporary and artistic and I pride myself in being able to work with my clients to create unique images to treasure for a lifetime.

Let's say 'I do'...

When shooting weddings, I like to keep my eyes peeled to capture the moments that the couple may miss on the day. Weddings are so packed full of fun, love and things to do, that they fly by in an absolute whirlwind. My job is to capture all that loveliness for you to look back on and remember, and even to include some surprises for you to see for the very first time!

I love to capture the little moments that mean the most; a smile between family, a first kiss as newlyweds, a whispered secret between siblings and mostly, just plain silliness! What can I say, I just love 'LOVE'! It makes me so happy to be able to share in the joy and provide people with memories and keepsakes to last a lifetime.

I take an active role on the day, working with venues and suppliers to ensure that the day runs as smoothly as possible and to make sure I'm always in the right place at the right time.

I love letting my creativity run wild and working with the couple to create unique and artistic images during the private shoot away from the crowd.

I am more than happy to give little posing suggestions and tweaks (a slight hand movement here, or a sneaky leg shift there), to really show you off in your best light. I won't let the session come to a close until I am sure I have captured the best of you and your loved ones.

I love what I do, and I want you to love it too! Let's work together to create the most beautiful and unique images for you to treasure forever…

During a shoot, I like to take the lead from my clients. I love to take a step back and capture natural, unposed images so you can treasure the true personalities of the people involved.

A work of heart...
